About

My name is Andrew Turngren and I’ve been collecting since 2020.

My grandfather passed away several years ago, and when cleaning out his residence, I discovered a stamp album.  I took it thinking it may be worth a few bucks, and I stashed it away in a closet.

When the coronavirus pandemic hit, I had a lot of time on my hands, and I was stuck at home…so I decided to start looking at this collection with the intent to sell it.  I had no intention of getting into stamp collecting — in fact I had always thought stamps were boring — but I quickly realized as I started to learn more and more that there was a lot more involved than I had ever thought…and it was super interesting.

I made this site to document what I have seen and learned since then (I’m now about 2 years into this hobby).  I hope to have some of my philatelic friends writing a few things here and there as well — it will be fun to see where this project goes.

My first and main specialization is Austrian Philately – but I have also added a few new interests along with these – the include Germany, Benelux, Italy, France and Ukraine.  But I’m sure there will be more to follow as things catch my eye.

I hope you enjoy seeing what we have to offer (as of now I’m just starting this site and there’s not really anything here yet) and if you have any comments or questions please don’t hesitate to use the contact form to get in touch.

Thanks — and happy collecting!
